How Dr. Beshay helps Veterans with Infertility

It has recently become evident that many war veterans return home after sustaining injuries and having long recovery times, and then are infertile. This can be a disaster for veterans that were planning families after they return home. There is currently legislation in Congress to allow the United States Department of Veteran Affairs to offer fertility treatment services to veterans that were wounded.

Fertility Treatments for Veterans

Dr. Beshay has been practicing medicine for over ten years. After he had graduated from East Carolina University School of Medicine, he pursued advanced training in obstetrics and gynecology and completed a three-year fellowship majoring in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

Dr. Victor Beshay started an independent practice in Allen, Texas called DFW Center for Fertility and IVF. He recognized the need of veterans that were injured to have infertility evaluations and treatments at an affordable price. If men and women are to serve our country, then they should have all fertility issues caused by war to be at their disposal for a full recovery, including fertility treatments.

Veterans with InfertilityDr. Beshay provides treatment for all fertility issues including endometriosis, tubal blockage, fibroids and polyps, PCOS, hormone imbalances and sperm abnormalities. Occasionally, a fertility patient may need surgery, but Dr. Beshay recommends the minimally invasive procedures first. Dr. Beshay performs in vitro fertilization and has a special interest in egg freezing as fertility preservation for veteran’s families.

In June 2016, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the bill to allocate money to the Department of Veterans Affairs for infertility services. The Senate must now vote on the bill to pass through Congress and be approved for veterans to get the infertility treatments that they need.

Dr. Victor Beshay recognized the gap in medical coverage for veterans that suffered from infertility measures and believed that the treatments should be available to them. The Department of Veterans Affairs treats all physical and mental issues of veterans, and it should also treat infertility for those brave men and women who serve our country.
